Nicole Richie is reportedly planning a summer wedding to boyfriend Joel Madden for the sake of their children. Sources say the pregnant reality star doesn’t was their 1-year-old daughter Harlow and unborn child to be ‘confused’ about their different last names.

“Nicole wants to take Joel’s last name. When she marries Joel, she’s going to become Nicole Madden. She doesn’t want any confusion with her kids, either. They’re all going to be Maddens,” says the insider.

Richie reportedly plans to hold a small wedding at her father Lionel Richie’s Beverly Hills estate.
